KAEWON MA rođen je u Suwonu (Južna Koreja). Prve satove violine dobila je u dobi od pet godina, a kasnije je studirala violinu na Nacionalnom sveučilištu u Seulu. 2017. dolazi u Dresden, gdje nastavlja studij na Sveučilištu za glazbu Carl Maria von Weber te diplomira i magistrira kod prof. Igora Malinovskog. Od listopada 2019. Kaewon Ma nastavlja studij kod prof. Ericha Höbartha na Sveučilištu za glazbu i dramu Felixa Mendelssohna Bartholdyja u Leipzigu. Dobitnica je nekoliko državnih i međunarodnih natjecanja. Osvojila je 2. nagradu (bez prve nagrade) na natjecanju Časopisa za glazbeno obrazovanje u Koreji, 1. nagradu i nagradu publike kao gudački trio na natjecanju za komornu glazbu Sveučilišta za glazbu i kazalište u Leipzigu 2019. godine. Kaewon Ma trenutno svira u Dresdenskoj filharmoniji. Djelovala je i kao zamjenica koncertnog majstora u studentskoj produkciji International Orchestra Institute Attergau 2019 Bečke filharmonije. Kao orkestralna glazbenica svirala je s dirigentima poput Mareka Janowskog, Dmitrija Kitajenka, Michaela Sanderlinga, Cristiana Macelarua, Thomasa Hengelbrocka i solistima poput Julije Fischer, Christiana Tetzlaffa, Baibe Skride, Khatije Buniatishvili, Benjamina Schmidta i drugih. Daljnje umjetničke impulse razvija na majstorskim tečajevima Zakhara Brona, Igora Ozima, Mi-Kyung Lee i drugih.

KAEWON MA was born in Suwon (South Korea). She received her first violin lessons at the age of five and later studied for a bachelor’s in the violin at Seoul National University. In 2017 she came to Dresden, where she continued her studies at the University of Music Carl Maria von Weber Dresden and graduated her masters under Prof. Igor Malinovsky. Since October 2019, Kaewon Ma has been studying in the Meisterklasse with Prof. Erich Höbarth at the University of Music and Drama Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Leipzig. She has won several national and international competitions. She won 2nd prize (without 1st prize) at the competition of the Music Education Newspaper in Korea, and the 1st prize and the audience award as a string trio at the Chamber Music Competition of the Leipzig University of Music and Theater in 2019. She has gained diverse orchestral experiences. Kaewon Ma worked as a trainee and a temporary contract in the Dresden Philharmonic, and was also invited to and acted as deputy concert master on the project for music students International Orchestra Institute Attergau 2019 by the Vienna Philharmonic. As an orchestral musician, she played with conductors such as Marek Janowski, Dmitri Kitajenko, Michael Sanderling, Cristian Macelaru, Thomas Hengelbrock and soloists such as Julia Fischer, Christian Tetzlaff, Baiba Skride, Khatia Buniatishvili, Benjamin Schmidt, and others. She developed further artistic impulses in master classes with Zakhar Bron, Igor Ozim and Mi-Kyung Lee, among others.
